Wednesday 23 February 2011 - message here somewhere

Okay, so we can't always be happy 24/7, baby, 365! That's just not going to happen. Even the Queen, even celebrities, in fact especially celebrities now that I think about it, have their off days. (In fact with some famous folk you have to wonder if they ever have a good day?!)

BUT! I still think we can strive to be more happy rather then less so in our general life and lifestyles.
Happiness is not something you chase. The second you try to, it panics, fluffs up it's little white tail and heads off into the hills faster then a sonic boom! (and far less satisfying to witness).

Happiness, to me, is just saying, okay, I'm happy.
What? Were you expecting a magic formula or something? Hair of goat, eye of Newt? (or fruit fly - it's the accepted generic alternative, now at a store near you!)

It's true though we do basically choose our happiness. Simply by deciding to be happier and see things from a more positive point of view helps us increase our chances of finding a wee bit of an extra reason to smile, laugh or just let go.

Heck having a positive outlook on life can even make the yuckies and the ugliness loose some of it's "IN YOUR FACE YO!" force!

Plus, if nothing else, it annoys people an awful lot and sometimes that alone can give you one heck of an internal grin!(No one said you had to just find joy in flowers and bees and stuff, lets be realistic here!)

So please have a wonderfully positive day today!
(and if not then don't stand on my positive mojo or I'll take you down with a laugh and a smile. you little.... okay this blog is not going in the direction I meant it to!)

Smiles!

Thursday 10 February 2011 - say cheese

Is it just me or do all pretty people seem to look like each other? Like clones with just a few features changed to try and throw you off the scent?

I was whisking through a glossy magazine,(Yes, I like to read them, how else will I know '30 ways to tell if he loves you or his koala more?' or 'Ten hot new sex tips that let's face it you already know but we've rehashed to sell more mags'), and I just noticed that all the gorgeous people looked strikingly similar.

I find perfection boring.
Nice to look at on occasion, like an art work you admire from afar, but who wants to take the expensive thing home?

I like people with flaws. To me it gives them such character! There are so many people I've had to bite my tongue not to ask if I could take a photo of them simply because some feature of theirs was so "off" that it made them fascinating to look at!
Odd people make my eyes sparkle!
To me they are the most fascinating! I could stare all day!
And no I don't mean that in a bad or mean way. I just love nature's creativity!

And they often have the best personalities, have you noticed that? It's like because they weren't the prize winning heifers in the herd, they went on to actually develop a personality and not leave it stunted and malformed like the average looker - teehee.

What's your view?
p.s. Can I take a photo of you?
KIDDING!!!!
maybe.
