Isn't it strange how we're attracted to certain people, repelled or indifferent to others? How this one loves blonde hair, that one loves curvy, this one loves mean and brutish, this one loves silly and vapid.
What in the world makes us choose x and not y?
I mean I've tried it. Tried to love someone who wasn't "to my tastes" and it just didn't work! And they weren't evil, weren't ugly, mean or dastardly! They just weren't it. And it drove me utterly mad before I finally accepted that like it or not I have "a type". And here I thought I was so easy going and open-minded to the world. Seems some areas are restricted areas all the same.
Is it a breeding instinct? Or conditioning? Or I don't know, the fact I ate too many yellow jelly beans as a kid?
Do you think / know, you have a type?
TAROT CARD OF THE DAY - Two of wands
* What I think it means - Hmmn, a lady with a snake - I'm a freak show? Or maybe you are? ^_^
* What it really means - Time for important decisions
It's influence - I assume that means more then whether or not I should have banana for supper?
Mostly straight Helvetica with a tinge of italic and bold.
ReplyDeleteOh har har. :P
ReplyDeleteWe're subjected to idealistic impressions by movies and magazines. Perfect looks and perfect personalities. We get a high standard that just can't fail to fail when compared to normal people. I have a type, and sadly its been coloured by a life of adventure/romance movies - especially tomboyish, but feminine, action girls with short hair and spunky personality. The one in a billion. Now, if only their type was geeks with corny senses of humour... ;)
