Right! I'd probably have a lot more ‘HO HO HO's’ to share with the world if I hadn't spent all of last night listening to music and spazzing out with the whole ‘being able to hear’ thing. Now I have to go for the ‘being able to pretend to be lucid’ thing, like most drivers on the roads today.
Of course I’m off to see friends and family, that goes without saying.
Have you noticed how everyone is always suddenly filled with great love, lust and longing to see all their estranged family members on Christmas? It’s like, you don’t see these people EVER! But come the sound of jingle bells and suddenly you have the overwhelming urge to spent 5 hours with them; swapping gifts you’ll thank god there’s a Parcel Returns counter for; listening to them go on about their health (Yes I know, you have chronic, suppurating haemorrhoids… please god no, don’t show me!!) and probably getting a full on vaccination for the urge to see them again for another 364 days!
Luckily I like my family so none of that applies! And here you thought I was such a cynic! FOOLED YOU!
Have yourself a merry little xmas, however you chose to spend it and in whatever frame of mind!!!
TAROT CARD OF THE DAY - King of wands
* What I think it means - Jo - I am... you're FATHER!!! <- - well it looks a bit like him, 20 years ago.
* What it really means - A bloke with brown hair and grey eyes, reliable, witty, amusing and intelligent.
* It's influence - The sudden realization that I know too many guys who that could be! Stupid card never tells you what they're supposed to be though. Brother? Lover? Family member? Psychotic stalker? Details people, details!!

WAAAAH!!! Christmas eve, oh my stars and garters!!! Can you believe it?! Yay!!!
Okay for a heathen maybe that seems a bit much, but I admit to fully loving Christmas! I hijacked it from the Christians and bugger you lot, I'm keeping it! < - - has no issues chopping and changing bits of "religious" mumbo-jumbo to fit her lifestyle.
I suspect it's conditioning from when I was a kid. Xmas was just the most AWESOME time! We got to put up the tree (and I usually only broke one ornament...), to try fall asleep as we listened for tell tale parent-putting-stuff-under-the-tree noises (We never did believe in Santa), we got presents - hello presents! - we got a yummy Christmas dinner, to sing carols (usually me while my brothers made a run for it), we sometimes saw family members (whom I seldom see more then once a year) AND you got to go to bed with that warm, glowy feeling of a job well done!
Even now, being all adult-ish and grown up and wise as can be, Xmas is still alarmingly thrilling!!
Eeeeek! Okay, okay! Time to go try think of something else... yeah right, that'll work...
TAROT CARD OF THE DAY - 5 0f wands - reversed
* What I think it means - Well there's a bunch of scantily clad lads all running forwards. Perhaps to the Christmas tree? No opening presents without an adult present!
* What it really means - The Asker is at their very lowest but things will improve
* It's influence - Peppy, but I preferred my interpretation...

I do like xmas traditions!
I'm not not keen on the whole jesus and motley crew bit, religion never sits well on my shoulders (especially not with this sunburn...)
But I do love putting a tree up! All the colour and splash! The finding bits that have gone AWOL, accidentally stepping on great grandma's last delicate glass ornament, getting tangled in tinsel or having to check the whole 'bloody' string of lights to find the one loose one that's stopping all the rest from working!
It's just magical!
I also like watching, "The nightmare before xmas", the night before xmas. It's so cute and I can sing along to all the songs. Which is either a good thing or just sad, depending on your life outlook.
And there's presents! I find if I even just have one, it makes the whole of xmas worthwhile. I'm a firm believer in not opening your present(s) until xmas morning and have the will power to keep mine when everyone else savages theirs pre-dawn.
For me Xmas is a time to feel gratitude for the people in your life. The gift is to say, hey you, thank you for being there, I love you.
So now I'm off to sing carols to myself and stare at the nifty tree and feel all very warm and gooey!
Bugger the cynics - I LOVE XMAS!!!
TAROT CARD OF THE DAY - 9 of cups - reversed
* What I think it means - Looks like weird uncle harry got into the eggnog again and is making a royal mess
* What it really means - One may be susceptible to over eating, over drinking or weight gain.
* It's influence - Note to self, give everyone chocolates so they gain more then I do!
