I think the nicest thing about being human, or close enough that it counts, is Surprises!
(Now obviously I mean nice, friendly surprises not like, "Oh look your head's just been cut off!" sort, those never go down well).
There is nothing better then a really nice, unexpected, yay-type surprise! I'm still trying to decide which one is better though....
1. The completely unexpected surprise - where it just comes up and out of the blue and just dazzles you with no warning at all so you go through all the rigors of joy and rapture in a once off blast of 'WOOHOO LUCKY ME' feelings
or
2. The surprise you sort of know is coming but it's not there yet! A new game, a present, a birthday party, a new harness for your BDSM collection! These can almost be more rewarding in that, although you know already there is a treat coming, you still get to wallow in the oozy good feelings of anticipation! "It's coming! It's coming! It's coming!!!" *Vibrates happily!*
Life is so deadly monotonous without a good surprise once in a while! And the best part is that you get just as many good vibrations being the person who initiates the surprise as the person who receives it! Tell me there's anything more beautiful then watching the face of someone you care about (Or heck even a complete stranger), just absolutely light up because of something unexpected you did for them! I swear it's more addictive then Heroine! (And a lot easier on your blood vessels I'm told...)
So I hope you have a lovely day with at least one, YAY YAY surprise in it, given or received!!!

Thursday 09 June 2011 - wet wet wet the weather not the band
I have decided this weather is out to get me!
Yip, just me, no one else.
Just cause.
I mean winter is bad enough with icy winds and frost and metal so cold you stick to it and rip a layer of skin off when you try let go, smooth as orange peel!
But to then add rain to the mix as well, how sadistic is that? I have written to complain, I'm sure I will receive an answer any day now...
Mind I do love how, we get a little rain in winter, and everyone is ooohing and aaahing going on about, "OH MY GOD IT'S CLIMATE CHANGE WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE!!"
(Unless they're religious nuts in which case it's god's vengeance or mother earth's or Ra's or somebody important sounding - Bin Laden's Revenge or some such...)
It's never just the weather being it's usual unpredictable self. How boring THAT would be!
Still, wish it would be unpredictable in a bit more of a fun way! Like the snow we had a few years ago, now that was worth 2am scurrying about and snowman making!
And why does no one complain when winter is unseasonably warm? You never then hear, "THE WEATHER IS LOVELY, OH MY GOD IT'S CLIMATE CHANGE WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE!!"
Well suppose I should go start getting ready to walk in this cold and wet and overcast weather! I could just stay home... HAHAHA, aaaah, that's cute...

Wednesday 08 June 2011 - vile bile
I don't know how people can stand milk?! To me it's the most vile thing since... since... since primordial ooze! and I bet at least primordial ooze would go well with toast!
I find the smell alone enough to make me suddenly get the urge to part ways with whatever meal came pre-odour ingestion! It's a scent I like to call, "The smell of secretion!" To me it smells like everything that is wrong with the world!!! *Flings arms out dramatically!*
And think about where milk comes from?! The boobs of a cow! It's fluid drained from the glands of an animal meant for that critters offspring! I'd have liked to have met the man (It's always a man when it's something daft), who decided, "Lookie here at this white stuff drippin' out Ma! Lets gosh durn go ahead and drinks it!"
It's yucky yucky yucky! I think you people are all insane! *Runs off crying into the open arms of the first sympathetic looking Vegan she can find!*

Tuesday 07 June 2011 - the now
I know when you ask people, if they could change anything in their pasts, the answer is often, "I would, but my past has made me the person I am today, for better or worse!"
My view to that?
*Pulls a raspberry!*
If I could change things in my past I surely would! Who knows, it could mean that it would have made the person I am today even more awesome? < - - no ego here hey.
and if it didn't, well I'd hardly have known about it now would I?
So saying I also very well and truely believe that until you invent your time machine that will let you go back in time and corner the stock market and sing Back Street Boy songs before they were even born, making you a multi-katrillionaire, well there's really no use crying over that proverbial spilt milk! (Though a squashed banana can raise a few tears...)
Today is all we have to best to make it the best today we can! That way we'll only have the best possible memories and an exciting future to look forward to!
Plus minus.

Saturday 04 June 2011 - Zzzzz
ARGH!!! Don't you hate it when you really, really, really, really want to go to sleep but your brain is keeping you active in a game of pin the thought on the braincell, so you just lie there, tossing this side; turning this side; blankets on; blankets off; blankets artfully arranged around you in a very pleasing feng-shui way that still brings no blissful trip to Nod!
For me the worst part usually hits around 1am when I have to try find something to do until morning. I usually end up playing some daft computer game; reading a book I've read more often then a zealout or staring at the hamster and enjoying fantasy scenes where he comes out of his cage; sits on a little psychiatrists couch; asks me what I really think of my mother; and prescribes something that fizzes in water and makes everything ooooo-oooo-oooo-kay...
And then you end up like I am now, with these blood shot red eyes and frail grip on sanity. Secure in the knowledge that whatever happens today is gonna HAPPEN in 3-D, in-your-face intensity!
But there is a plus side, it is a Saturday, so there's still one day I can sleep in if I can just, well, sleep!! I will fight for the right to SNORE!!!
(I'd throw my fist up in the air but I'm all tangled in blankets and oh wait, that's my foot....)

Friday 03 June 2011 - mind games
Yesterday's bubble bath had me getting ready to go on a quest to get from one side of the vast gaping chasm of bath tub to the other, without touching the water and therefor drowning and dying! Could I get from one "polar" mound of bubbles to the next unscathed?!
My mind created a little character, brown hair, leather jerkin, backpack and a determined gate!! He was woefully under-dressed for the arctic scene in which I placed him, but he was aesthetically pleasing and if movies can do it so can my imagination! Heck, let's make him half Eskimo, that'll keep the nay-sayers happy!
So anyway, little guy started up by my head, leaping from bubble island to bubble island. He made it almost 3/4 of the way to the other side before the horror of a lack of bubbles came between him and the drain! Whatever was he to do?! He couldn't stay on the bubble island he was already on, it was melting! But to leap into the void?!
Eventually he had no choice and taking up his courage, he made a leap for it!!! Ooooh! But too bad he missed and drowned prettily, oh dear! Really it was quite dreadful! I'd have grieved deeply but I had body parts to wash and I feel, he would have wanted it that way!

Thursday 2 June 2011 - Paradox
There is something really extra nice about sleeping and cuddling in bed when the nights are icy cold and all you wanna do is bury yourself, mole-like, into vast layers of warm and comforting comforters! You know to set foot outside the bed would be to strip away every layer of peace you've created and so you dig in even deeper, till even your icy cold nose begins to thaw.
I like to pull the blankies all the way over my head and create a snug, vaguely Jo-scented, cavern of warmth. Feet, bedecked in socks, keep the blanket secure and folded over so nothing as sinful as fresh, cold air can get in!
As the minutes go by my little cave gets warmer and warmer. I know it's cold out there and that the world is a big and scary place, but for just a short while I am cozy and happy and very, very, contented with life as I slowly drowse and prepare to go to Dreamland.
And it's right about then that I need to go to the bathroom!
