You'd think getting up at 4am would at least give me more time to do Jovvi related things. Or at the very least give me a few free hours to dawdle about in.
But sheesh do they get eaten! From 4am to 9pm I'm pretty much up and doing things to the point that by 9pm it's head to bed to sleep, bugger anything else!
I suppose it's a bit like when computers and cellphones and stuff were made, to simplify our lives. Pardon me hombre but if anything they seem to have complicated them all the more. We want our fax NOW, phone-call NOW and funny forward with cute kittens even sooner!
Me thinks we should rethink this!
Um but no now, I'm busy!

Tuesday 15 March 2011 - breed it and weep
Evolution is not a religion. It doesn't tell you how, why or when life formed on earth (probably a Saturday), it doesn't give you a nifty bigoted god to worship or even a single public holiday where you have to fast or devolve into an aardvark for traditions sake.
Evolution is simply showing how critter A got here today from being Critter 'not-so-much-A' so long ago.
But I'm not here to cheer or the wonders of evolution, though they do seem pretty cool, regardless of how it sounds. What gets me is that you can still see evolution today! Sped up by the hands of mankind sure, but we have our fingers in so many pies, what's one more?
Think about it. Those tiny wee dogs that stars like to maul, sorry haul, about in big ugly purses and give embarrassing names, they didn't exist 50 years ago! But through selective breeding and tinkering man managed to evolve a whole new species out of the original dogs. (Who were themselves evolved from wolves - just in case anyone had images of a magnificent pack of Maltese Poodles running wild across the tundra pulling down elk).
Hairless cats, fainting goats, even the banana species we have today. All these things are newly engineered by man. Heck even the bulldog was a much more strapping lively creature just 100 years before it got bred into the living pudding it is today! And with genetically modified foods and chickens fed on other chickens and hormones, who knows what else we'll create in the future? Heck, look at our own evolution with technology by our sides? I'm still betting on the brain in a pickling vat ending to our spiecies!
Playing god is fun!!

Monday 14 March 2011 - techno 1
I like technology! Love it in fact! I am not one of those people who wishes we could all live in "simpler" times before computers and cellphones and nifty medical equipment you insert in someones groin to reach their heart!
I'm not saying we should all become brains in vats that do nothing but compute and try to get a clear signal on our (brain)cell phones but playing it down or acting like a wood nymph isn't going to change the fact that mankind has grown and evolved thanks to technology, in ways no other animal has or really could now.
Think about it! Technology has let sterile people have kids, has saved the lives of many who would instead be dead, has allowed us to do things with our minds and bodies you couldn't have hoped to even just 50 years ago!
Granted we've also buggered up the planet a lot with this growing need and greed for technology, but I have faith in mankind and fully believe that if we didn't have technology we'd be destroying the world in a different but as effective way! ^_^
So how have you used technology today?

Sunday 13 March 2011 - ponders
Now that I've had a taste of working I must say that I appreciate weekends all the more!!! (Though I did love them awfully much being a non hired peon!)
I miss walking though! Long long hours of ambling about with just me to entertain me. (And entertain me I did!)
I know, I know, we all have to be grown ups and go to work and complain about our coworkers and push paper and other stuff, but sometimes I think there must be more to life then that!
Don't you?
Me thinks work should be fun too! Like a more regimented sort of poops and giggles! If there's a way then dang it all, I'll find it! Watch this space for more!!

Friday 11 March 2011 - your evaluation
I am not an -ist, sort of person.
I'm not up for being a racist, ageist, sexist or any other fun limiting word of that range.
I'd love to say I don't judge people but of course, that would be a lie, owing to the fact that I'm human and that judging people is what we do to sort them into nifty easy to sort, zip-lock categories in our minds.
But I've found too many people who break social stereotypes to lump them all under one heading. I've met black guys who like classical music; white guys who can jump; blondes who were terribly clever and woman drivers who've knocked the socks off their male counterparts.
So rest assured that I will only ever judge you on the full package that you present. If you're a mean nasty S.O.B. then I don't care what your genetics are, where you came from or where you're going.
You suck!
Everyone else *BIG THUMBS UP* You're ACE!!

Thursday 10 March 2011 - skirting the issue
Look I like skirts and dresses now and then, especially the sort that twirl when you spin, someone was on something good the day they invented those.
BUT!
I really, really dislike the lack of pockets! I end up having to put all my stuff into my wee carrier bag (It's not a purse! It's not a purse!)
I like being able to reach into my pants and pull out the first thing that vibrates.
(Yes I mean my cellphone, no nothing else, put those thoughts away, perv...)
I don't even mind walking about with so much stuff collected in my pocket that, if I was more androgynous looking, people would begin to wonder what those bulges really where!
But if you sew pockets into skirts then they look odd and misshapen and you end up looking like an extra in some Oliver Twist Broadway musical, knock out a tooth, learn to say, "Gov'na!" and you're perfect!
Fashion never does make sense!

Wednesday 09 March 2011 - the secret to eternal life
I've figured out a way to become immortal! Or at least to live for a really really really long time!
Work 24/7/365!! (366 on leap years)
Because at work one day seems to stretch to all eternity! Time seems too thin out and an hour to bend in on itself and convolute so that it lasts three times as long! If you're bored or uncomfortable or stuck in a Monday then yes, it lasts even longer! There is no end to the working day! Your immortality is assured!
Mind you with that in store, to quote Queen, "Who wants to live forever!?"
