I think shops are very sneaky.

I suspect they make returning an object such a hassle, that at least 7/10 people end up going, "eh, what's the point?" And not bothering to return broken / damaged / derranged goods.

We took back a newly bought faulty radio thingy,(wasn't mine in case you're wondering, I've given up on ever getting along with non computer technology!), and the time it took just to get an exchange for the new one...I could have grown a small banzai and lovingly handed it down to my many times great-grand child!

And how much paperwork do they make you do? Sign this this, that, this, that, that, this here, that there, my left boob, there, here, this....

And just to make things worse, I left my cellphone at home so there was no other distraction then to re-watch the ending of Avatar, without noise, while I waited. Best viewing of Avatar I've seen to date!

But really, wouldn't it be nice if you could walk into the shop, explain the problem, have a competent person, who can spell hello as well as say it, help you out, trade the faulty goods and then be on your merry, with a song in your heart and a skip in your step?

Oh look! A flying pig...

TAROT CARD OF THE DAY - Justice

* What I think it means - Well the lady is holding scales, a sword and has smoke coming out of her head. Me thinks she also had to wait in a customer service line just a few hours too long!

* What it really means - Legal dealings. Balance.

* It's influence - could it mean the wheel of karma will turn and everyone at *big name technology corporation* will come down with the squirts?
