Sunday 19 December 2010

Sometimes, when I look at the smiling faces of people I know, or sort of know, or heck, couldn't tell the difference from cheese to, I can't help wondering what their own life dramas are and how for real and certain is that lovely smile they're wearing? It's sort of a morbid thing, and sort of a 'I understand' sort of thing.

And I wonder what their struggles are. What hopes do they have that keep them going in spite of any fears they might have? And will those hopes last long enough? Who will break and why?
What if it's me?

Life isn't a book or a movie, it's hard to know anything about anyone, other then the facade they show to the world. How shocking to find out that sweet Mr X was really a pedophile, or that friendly Y committed suicide from depression or that Z cries themselves to sleep at night?

How do we know?

I really wish I could answer that.

TAROT CARD OF THE DAY - The Hierophant

* What I think it means - Looks like a priest or such, probably some body preachy. *nods sagely*

* What it really means - Focus on the spiritual rather then material.

* It's influence - But not too much me thinks.
